#BellaStylista is a new BN Style series for fashionistas who kill it every day! For work or play, this list is to inspire you as we celebrate those who inspire us with their sense of style. We’ll be sharing the top trends, fabulous street style looks and our fashion highlights for each week.

With the beginning of a new fashion season, our style stars are mixing the old with the new; summer + fall trends. Statement t-shirts and denim aka street style uniform are still making rounds, but we welcome twists to it like ‘s deconstructed denim and ‘s strap up pants.

Spot the Trend

Gone are the days when lengthy skirts were only for religious gatherings and modest outings. Long skirts have found a way into our wardrobes and we can’t stop styling them. Toke Makinwa was a sight to behold at the Grand Finale of Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria wearing a canary yellow Gert Johan-Coetzee dress. She shimmered all through the night in a sleek and subtle facebeat by complimenting her perfectly pulled back hair done by .
